We feature both pad foot rollers and smooth drum rollers in our fleet. Due to the two different types of rollers we can make sure that you are hiring the right type for the right job. Smooth Drum Roller Hire
Smooth drum rollers use static pressure, vibration, and impact to compact materials such as gravel, rocks, sand, and asphalt to prepare surfaces for driveways, sidewalks and foundations. The finished result is a tightly compacted smooth and flat surface.

At Focus Machinery we offer 1.5 & 3.0 tonne twin drum and 7, 12 & 16 tonne single drum rollers for short- & long-term dry hire.

Pad foot Roller Hire

Pad foot rollers also generate static pressure, vibration, and impact. However, they also generate manipulative force. This allows for uniform compaction during the entire process. They have tapered pads that penetrate and compact the soil to build up the soil’s strength. Gravity and the vibrations compact the material from the top down. Pad foot rollers are better suited to soil that contains cohesive materials like clay, silt or soil as the Pad foot roller specializes in compacting at greater depths.
